These beautiful pieces actually came to be as a favor. Last week, my best friend LeAnn lost a friend of her family in a tragic car accident. The family doesn't have money to pay for the funeral, so LeAnn and her dad are organizing a silent auction fundraiser. LeAnn asked me if I could make something to donate and auction off, and of course I said yes.
My goal was to create items that would fetch a nice price at auction while spending as little money as possible. I bought a picture frame, a mirror, and two different bags of flat glass stones from the Dollar Tree near my house, grabbed a couple of old magazines and my bottle of Mod Podge, and got to work. I'm really happy with the results, and I will let you know how much they go for when they are auctioned off!
